For the Norwegian publisher of educational materials Salaby I’ve created a series of illustrations for five Polish tales.
One of them How the stork got himself a red beak and red legs?
tells the story of a stork who receives a special task from God the Creator. He needs to get rid of the reptiles, as the God is not so very happy with how his effort to create them turned out. But the curious stork, instead of casting the creatures to the edge of the world, accidentally sets them free. As a punishment, he receives a red beak and legs, and a curse to eat the animals until the end of his days.
